Ahlam Abbas is a Lebanese artist who is pursuing
her Ph.D. in Arts & Humanities. She is a mixed media artist who depicts the
ordinary in an exquisite and exotic way through pop and naïve art style. “Ahlam Yoga” in this exhibition is a
series that focusses on
the spirituality of meditative transcendence in the current times. She
was awarded the Artists Prize in the LAAPS-Lebanese Artist Association- 2016.
Anindita Chakraborty is an artist from Tripura residing
in Hyderabad, India. She
teaches in JNAFAU, Hyderabad, India as a visiting faculty and is an
award-winning artist. She uses organic pigments for her works in the current series. Her work is autobiographical and encompassed with
self-portraiture. It is a constant investigation of self, introspection, or
questioning identity in a positive approach.
Ardra Manasi is a published poet in English and
Malayalam. Alongside, she is a development practitioner living in New York City
and has served as a former Policy Consultant with the United Nations (UN). Her
poems have been published by India’s National Academy of Letters (Sahitya
Akademi) and other distinguished magazines and anthologies. Her poems have
a strong sense of female presence and a voice trapped in the big city and
layers of self.
Devan Madangarly is an artist based in Palakkad,
Kerala who seeps into his personal experiences and dreams for inspiration. His works have some
influences from traditional mural paintings of Kerala and North Indian
miniature paintings. His style is realistic with a pinch of surrealism. He has
received Honourable Mention by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi in 1999.
Ellora Mishra hails from Odisha, India and is
currently residing in The Hague, Netherlands. She is an avid blogger and loves
to pen her musings under her pen name Ira
Mishra. She taps on personal experiences that tugs her soul to weave her
poems. 'Dots & Streaks' is her
debut book that has won the coveted LIT Digital Award 2020 & has been
nominated for Litfest 2020 by NE8X.
German Fernandez is from Lima, Peru and is a graphic designer based in Dubai. His works
in this exhibition are digital collages that explore a steampunk-like
theme inspecting the dystopian possibilities of technology and the
expressiveness of anthropomorphic figures. Even before the pandemic, he used to depict characters
with facemasks in absurd fantasies that unfortunately has become a reality now.
Gitanjali
Kolanad from Toronto,
Canada, was often multi-disciplinary, arising
out of collaborations with artists from other disciplines. She co-founded
IMPACT - Indian Martial and Performance Arts Collective of Toronto. She is also
the author of prize-winning short story "The American Girl" and used to contribute a column on arts and
culture to the newspaper New Indian Express. Her
novel ‘Girl Made of Gold’ launched on August 1 2020.
Joseph Schreiber is a writer and editor based in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His work ranges from critical reviews and personal
essays to photo essays and poetry. His themes include gender identity, mental
illness and grief. He is the Nonfiction/Criticism Editor at 3:AM Magazine
and has been published at Burning House Press, RIC Journal and Poetry
at Sangam.
