A dream has its hibernation period to realize and flower into multiplicities of existence – to travel merged in the air and a whiff of it gives the inhaler a world to unravel. To travel alone for a while in isolation as is the habit of a creative and then find a tribe that overwhelms, elevates, moulds, merges, flows into those nuances that hadn’t imagined existed is probably an ethereal experience and one where we might say I found an aura. An aura of something sublime! Art & poetry is sublime! What it does we can neither measure nor understand balancing it on a scale of numbers. It’s something that stirs the core, the essence…like a slight shiver unawares and you realize you are ALIVE! At least this very moment and you are lucky to be so for the breath of air that carries the melody of life however harsh it may seem right now. Life in layers is what we have. Layer upon layer, we fuse and make ourselves strong. What delight if you have a tribe to move on and carry the burden along.
I dedicate this Online Exhibition of Art & Poetry to my
parents and all the parents of all the artists and poets and to my gurus’ right
from the kindergarten. I always remember my English teachers the most! They
have always had an impact on my life. Right from Prema miss in the KG to Kanta
miss in my upper primary who remembers me even today, Indira miss and Sati miss
in my High school to all the awesome Professors and lecturers of Govt, Victoria college. I humbly owe it to all my teachers. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am
today. My Pranams!

Inaugural address – Esteemed guest, Ruby Jagrut (Visual artist-writer / Founder-Trustee of Abir India) Followed by Curator, artists and poets introductions.
Ruby Brahmbhatt Jagrut is a painter and exponent of natural dyes and pigments with more
than 25 years of experience in the field. She is also a writer and lives in Ahmedabad. She is the Founder and Trustee of Abir India, an initiative to promote, help, mentor and support
young Indian artists.
She is associated with various design
and art schools as a Natural dyes expert. She is also a Board member of PDPU
(Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University), Gandhinagar for Liberal Studies where
her role is to monitor and mentor the course structure of Liberal Arts. She has
taken part in more than forty group shows and has done ten solo exhibitions. She
has curated painting exhibition for the legendary Muzaffar Ali at Ahmedabad and
Hyderabad. She has designed and curated a book for Delhi based writer, Nidheesh
Tyagi. She frequently writes in the local newspaper as a guest columnist.
